BMOP concludes its 2010-2011 college concert series with “Bang Theory,” featuring music by Bang on a Can composers Michael Gordon, David Lang, Julia Wolfe, and Evan Ziporyn. Performances will also be held at Tufts University (April 16) and Bowdoin College (April 17).

[News Coverage] Boston Modern Orchestra plays big “Bang Theory”

The Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP) will present the final piece in its three-part series on campus this Sunday. BMOP is dedicated to playing American music composed in the 20th and 21st centuries. The orchestra presents contemporary interpretations of traditional forms of music, geared toward a new generation of listeners. Under the direction of Gil Rose, BMOP has gained renowned popularity and national praise.
