Nancy Galbraith is an American composer who has been active in the field since the 1970s. Her music has been praised by critics for its rich harmonic texture and wide range of expression. She currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is Chair of Composition at Carnegie Mellon University School of Music and holds the Vira I Heinz Professorship of Music endowed chair at the College of Fine Arts.
