Milton Williams has performed as a conductor, baritone, and narrator. He is also a composer and an arranger. His repertoire has ranged from opera and oratorio to jazz and blues, musical theater and 20th & 21st century music. He has served as music director and conductor for choral and orchestral ensembles, and operatic/musical theater productions.

He has served as music director and conductor for choral and orchestral ensembles, and operatic/musical theater productions.

In the summer of 2000, Williams' was named Associate Conductor of Leonard Berstein's Mass at the Vatican in Rome. Williams later conducted the California premiere of Bernstein's Mass, as well as the premiere of his very own work Espying at the Banff Festival of Arts in Canada.

Williams' list of compositions includes Transfigured Blues, a Masque for Total Theater; Strange Horse for narrator, chamber orchestra, soprano soloists and women's chorus; Espying, a Theater Oratorio; Hitchhiker, a film score; Suite For Orchestra; Fanfare for a New Century (for brass sextet) and Orchestral Suite from Transfigure Blues.
