As with most arts organizations, BMOP is mission driven. In developing programs, our primary concern is not ticket revenue, but rather the contribution that we are making to orchestral music. As a result, ticket revenue accounts for a fraction of the cost of BMOP concerts, recording projects, and outreach programs. We depend on the Annual Fund to make up the difference. The Annual Fund is maintained by cultural foundations, civic-minded corporate partners, and generous individuals like you.

The Annual Fund supports the following:    
Musician wages
Guest soloist fees
Sheet music rental
Recording engineers
New music commissioning fees
Concert space rental
Outreach programs
Instrument rental

The Annual Fund does not support administrative expenses. BMOP operates with a small, efficient staff, and keeps its overhead low. Administrative costs are covered by concert tickets, CD sales, and other sources of earned income.
